It was time for a change

So I'm super over due on this post but if you follow me on face book here or twitter here then you saw me transforming  my little bathroom in this master piece... ok maybe not a master piece but a little spa . I had neglected my bathroom way to long and it was time to step up my game.

So first before I do any project I read up on it. I read  that the color blue aqua was perfect for small no light bathrooms.  looked threw pictures on line and since I was going with the aqua blue what better to incorporate the beach theme with sea shells and sand . But this processes wasn't easy I did a huge mistake at first. I painted the bathroom RED!!! now what was I thinking really, RED ,RED the bathroom felt like a cave it was bad  . But I painted it over pronto .

So here's the pictures of the bathroom and what it became
this was before, it was horrible I took everything down mirrors etc.
I had to patch up all the holes that where left behind
oh my this is the red disaster
the pretty blue that was painted right after  as you can see it's small the blue made it way bigger
this was the color from home depot
So after everything was painted I did step two

I thought to myself, what do I want this space to do for me?? and how can I make it functional for my husband and I . I had one wall to work with I need shelves  and since the space was small I need mirrors to bring in light  .I hated my sink with passion  but it was to pricey to remove and I would have to hire someone bla bla so I just painted it =)
so on this wall I went with small shelves and a large circle mirror to open up the space
went with these Ikea shelves  placed  on the side and a large shelve on the top to store all bathroom things
I removed the shower doors and placed white shower curtains and lined with a plastic  curtain. it really opened the space even more
what a difference right I don't know what took me so long to re due my bathroom now it feels like a spa a little gateway.
the finish project
So proud of my bathroom
tip three love the space you created for you and your family

That looks so nice! Love the color. Coincidentally I'm getting my hallway bathroom repainted as I type. I had picked out this Purple color and I took a peek a few minutes ago and it looks overbearingly purple lol. Oh well =(

That does look like a mini spa. the mirrors definitely gave it some extra needed space. I love your decor.

Dude I love your new bathroom. You're so good at decorating. I love that baby or sky blue color too. My bf and I actually bought baby blue sheets to match our comforter. It's cooling to the eyes.
