I heart books and pastel colors ~~~book review ~~~

Well hello my pretty girls I have a OOTD post today,This past weekend We went to visit my brother in law in Bakersfield,Ca I can't believe that he lives  alone with girlfriend already I mean I meet him when he was 11 years old !!! so that means I'm getting old  !!! Big time 

Here's my outfit for that day.

I went with all black with  pop of  pastel colors like this new necklace from fancy Steps .

My make up I went with a pink lip from Mac candy -yumyum and a light smokey eye

 My hi-low top that I love is from forever 21 tights are from Marshalls and my shoes are from Fancy Steps

So if you like wearing black like me just make your accessories pop with color  and of course your shoes to  make your outfit fun and flirty.


So if you follow me on instagram curvesahead you would see that I have a reading addiction !!! I love to read on my Kindle I read about 2 book a week. I now have a group of women and a book club that I follow and we share are reviews on our books. Threw Instagram, I love it so if you like romance novels follow me to get my latest read !!!

Since I love to share my loves and intreast on my blog, I will be also sharing my books on here. Hope you ladies enjoy these reviews and hopefully leads you to read some amazing stories I've read.

This weekend book was Sometimes Never by Cheryl Mo Inty

This book was a dark read with a very serious life threaten problem that a young girl has to deal with some serious demons. That doesn't allow her to open.Until she meets someone that is in every way compatible to her and she starts to see life different with meaning, she fights her demons to make her and her new find purpose with having.
                           Great read I give a 3 stars !!!!  I would have get it more stars but I had just finished another dark book and it was to sad for me at the time .

My personal weight loss story

As you may or may not know I have been on a weight lost journey of my life. For the first time ever I'm loosing weight and really slimming down. All my life I've had weight problems since I can remember my parents got me into a gym even if I had a fake ID oh yes the things parents do for their kids.

But about a year back I really went out of control on my weight after some illness issues that I overcame,my sense of reason went straight out the window. I ate like it was going out of style,I guess I ate without thinking of what all this eating could do to my body. Until one day I really looked at myself and said "Candy WTF " and decided to do something about it.And I start to care again.

Now I wish this story had happy ending but I'm getting there.Weight loss its hard but its possible I was one those people that would say "I JUST CAN'T LOOSE WEIGHT" well look it here missy,YES YOU CAN LOOSE WEIGHT YOU JUST HAVE TO TRY.I wasn't trying hard enough because  when you want something hard enough you work at it and you don't give up until you make it.

 Now,yes that's easier said than done because I've been stuck at a 45 lbs. weight lost 'till this point. I was oh yes I got this and started gaining one pound here one pound there eating taco bell I would say "OH COME ON, ONE TIME ISN'T GOING TO BRING 45  POUNDS BACK " well that is true but it will bring it back in time if your not careful,and I wasn't I gained 10 pounds back in a 5 month time span. What a set back it was,so disappointed on myself I had FAILED myself yet again.

And Here I am, I told myself off couple times and back on this trip that I plan to take it all the way home this time. Because honestly I just don't have time to live and accept myself FAT anymore. Yes accepting your FAT is also huge acceptance for yourself. See,when your big the word FAT can be the worst bad name you could ever hear. Its straight out hurtful but when you know your body and yourself and your attempt that you no longer want to be FAT its a total game changer.

so after loosing those 10 pounds yet again I'm back on track at my 45 pound mark and starting new.I'm down to zero pounds lost and ready for whats to come.

The reason behind this story that got way personal, was for my  plus size clothes section  that I provide to my boutique Fancy Steps . Through out my struggle with  my weight,I know first hand how hard it is to find cute trendy clothes. When Forever 21 started carrying plus size I was like super happy !!!,but the section was tiny,had couple styles and the prices where not that great. I mean why is plus size clothes so expensive!!! geeez.



So when I started my business I wanted something for EVERY women,the women I am ,the women I want to be and the women I will be. I started off with shoes because no matter what size you are shoes always fit !!! and I knew that I would shine in that department.But I had access to so much amazing fashion I couldn't stand not providing a small part to of this to my shop. So,I brought on the clothes at first it was risky because I knew that I didn't know what size small felt like or if my customers would feel like I knew. I had a complex that I wasn't relatable to all clothes,but one thing I did know was having fashion and that my friend I knew well. Hey you don't get best dressed all your life for nothing.And that brought the plus size section or what I like to call "THE CURVY SECTION" I hate plus size,never liked that term. So I've really been trying to get pieces that are for everyone.I look at some clothes provided for curvy women and I'm like yeah that would never happen if your curvy you wouldn't wear that. So I'm relatable in a huge way to my clothes in my shop and I love that.

I swore to myself that I would never let a XL in my closet EVER!,but when it comes to Fancy Steps,I can't help it if there's any way that I can help someone dress their body with my clothes that is amazing. Because trust me I know I was there, now that I'm a solid size Large pushing Medium  I still know how to dress my curves from the experience I had with buying Plus size.Because if one thing I knew for sure was that I was beautiful at any size and clothes didn't just dress me but  complimented my figure.

Do you peplum

Well hello ladies hope your all doing good, I have a fashion post today and actually it was a great little moment for me to fit into this dress. When I saw it I was like yeah not a chance, but after some serious talk in my head I tried it on and guess what I loved it . I'm not going to say it fit perfect but hopefully soon it will fit even better !!! that's what is all about hoping for improvement.So here's the pictures let me know what you think

   So the dress is mint color and the fabric is just amazing soft and very stretchy but its a thick fabric so its not see threw at all. I paired it with a H&M blazer that I love a very stunning necklace and some color blocking pumps that had a hint of mint on the heel, I thought it brought some color to the outfit.

Nothing feels better then to feel confident and secure in your own body. I'll come back  to this dress couple weeks and see my improvement. I think clothes are the best motivators when dieting, what do you think ? do you use clothes as your motivator ???

Latina Lifestyle blogger fashion swap

Hi ladies, hope you all had a great Father's day,and overall great weekend. I had a great weekend myself with my nephew,my family and a great event that I was a part of on Saturday with the  first Latina Lifestyle Bloggers fashion swap .They are a great group of women coming toghter for great conversation,fashion tip,shopping tips and some amazing crepes,It really couldn't get any better.

Participating in these events I feel so inspired,so full of insight meeting so many great women with different goals,dreams women like you and me making things happen.A business women,a poetry writer,a fashion designer,a single mother,a group that came together to meet and support one another. Women contacting its pretty magical if you stand back and look around reach out to women you'll never know what treasure you might find.

One thing that left with me from this fashion swap was that your not just  swaping clothes you where taking a piece of their soul with you.

everyday should be a sunday

Well hello again my lovely ladies hope you all had a great weekend, its Monday what can I say its never nothing to look forward to but its a new week to start and finish great amazing things.

   So if you saw my you tube Video Here  my last haul I had this skirt that I got from Marshall's its a multi wearing skirt it becomes a dress a long skirt and a skirt so you get three looks  !!!! crazy right so I'm on my second look and I love it,Let me show you how I styled it.

So here's what I wore my Marshall's skirt with a Forever 21 belt and fancy neon pumps you can find HEREl I just noticed I have no accessories NOOOOOO its kinda crazy

Mint Cray cray

Hello lovely ladies, I wanted to do a post about my crazy obsession with the new mint trend omg I want everything love the color its super fun and easy to wear !! and for summer it perfection. What's to come ...

Well hello my party ladies , first off let me start off by thanking each one of you that left me such amazing comments on my mom's surgery thank God we are doing better and just moving along with what's to come .

After passing a hard week I wanted to finish off my Birthday post even thou my birthday seems like it happened months ago . Every time I see these pictures makes me so happy to remember these times that I had with some special people that helped me threw this hard time to Aggie and Betty for calling me every day several times a day  making sure everything was good  Love you girls !!!

My husband gifted this hotel weekend for me I thought it was perfect, Right in front of the beach 

We arrived popping bottles and ready for some wine tasting

After some lunch and some more drinks we got ready for a night of laughs drinks and unforgettable moments

Camera was left behind for the night out but here's what I wore 

Forever 21 skirt , G Stage pink top cotton on blazer had to add some green since it was Saint Patrick day with my green mint Heels from Fancy Steps !! this is how 30 looks right now oh yeah

Next morning not very hung over ,we strolled threw the beach and drive back home  more relax and full of love. Meeting new friend seeing far away friends ,spending time with a long last friend I will never forget this birthday I will forever cherish it  in my heart thank you ladies for making this weekend so amazing for me !! cheers to many more to come !!!
